JACKSON HOLE, WY, July 12, 2011 – OneEyedBird announced today that it has signed Daron Rahlves, Travis Rice, Ian Walsh and Circe Wallace to the OneEyedBird team as advisors. Collectively, the group will work with OneEyedBird advising the company on its business dealings within action sports. The group was assembled based on long standing personal relationships with management and their impressive lists of professional achievements. In addition, they were selected because their insight into the action sports industry gives OneEyedBird a unique perspective into managing marketing projects when compared to other marketing firms.

Jackson Hole native, Travis Rice, has made a name for himself as a triple threat in the ranks of pro snowboarders, equally dangerous in big air competitions, slope style and the backcountry. Travis is one of the most respected and sought after snowboarders in the action sports filmmaking community because he continues to push snowboarding to new limits, progressing the sport and setting new boundaries. Travis was the lead in the industry changing That’s It That’s All from Brain Farm Cinema in 2008 and this fall marks the release of the highly anticipated The Art of Flight, Brain Farm’s new film that is certain to raise the bar once again.

Helping OneEyedBird stay in tune with surfing is 28-year-old Hawaiian big wave surfer Ian Walsh. Learning to surf shortly after he could walk has allowed him time to dominate the surfing scene, becoming one of the most respected surfers in the world. The Ian Walsh Menehune Mayhem at Ho’okipa is in its eighth year and has become the biggest annual surf event on Maui.

Daron Rahlves is the most decorated American Downhill and Super G racer in US history, winning 7 US National titles, 15 US National podiums, 28 World Cup podiums, 12 World Cup victories and 3 World Championship medals since 2001. He retired from World Cup racing when he was on top and healthy in 2007 to shift his focus to freeskiing, filming with top ski movie crews, and Skier-X, which led to an X-Games Gold Medal in 2008. In 2011 Daron founded The Rahlves' Banzai Tour, a multi-resort race series in the Tahoe area with a $50,000 purse mixing big mountain freeriding, downhill racing with ski & boarder cross strategy. For 2012, the tour is adding a 4th Tahoe resort with a prize purse of $80,000.

Rounding out the advisory board for OneEyedBird is top action sports athlete agent and manager Circe Wallace. Circe paved the way for female snowboarders in the early 1990’s as the first woman rider for Ride Snowboards. Switching gears after her professional athletic career, Circe decided to use her experience to help and represent other athletes with their careers, eventually becoming the Senior Vice President of Wasserman Media Group, the leading agency for action sports athlete management. She represents some of the biggest stars in action sports today including Travis Rice, Paul Rodriguez and Torah Bright and was named one of “Action Sports Most Influential Woman” in 2010 by Transworld Business (Mike Lewis, July 22, 2010). Circe has also been the Executive Producer of action sports related films with her clients, and shows on MTV and BET.

OneEyedBird Founder and Chief Creative Officer Dirk Collins said, “I am very excited to have Travis, Ian, Daron and Circe on the team. Their insight strengthens the already solid foundation the OEB executive team brings to the table and will help us stay connected to our core audience which is a critical factor in OEB’s day to day business.”

Tim Pogue, President and CEO of OneEyedBird added, “Each of these people have reached the very pinnacle of respect in their careers, and we look forward to working with them and integrating their unique perspectives into OneEyedBird’s plans.”
